Introduction

Anyone who has ever been interested in creating a themed or even personal, but perhaps more professional, profile has probably wanted to create an aesthetic Instagram profile but has never known how to do it. I do not consider this task to be so simple but also not impossible, in fact, I really believe that practically anyone is capable of creating such a profile from scratch, but to do so obviously needs one basic thing:

A plan.

That’s right, we cannot hope to create an aesthetic Instagram profile without having a plan in mind. That is precisely why I decided to do this blog to explain to you how I made my profile so aesthetic after many many unsuccessful attempts. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to create your first aesthetic Instagram profile!

Initial Concept

Concept Map

We cannot hope to create anything without first having an initial concept.

The concept to start with is crucial. Without it, creating an aesthetic Instagram profile is impossible. First, think about the niche you want to target and the related posts. Choose a name that reflects the content you plan to create. If undecided, find inspiration here! Also, pick colors that you love, which will represent your profile. Don’t skip this step! These colors will play a key role in shaping your aesthetic. As you’ll see later in the guide, these details will help make your profile cohesive and visually appealing.

Let’s move on to the next step!

Photo Profile

If you want an aesthetic profile you can’t think of going over this point.

Our profile photo could potentially be the very first thing a new follower will go to see. How many times have we found ourselves click on a profile simply because its profile picture seemed cool or otherwise unique and eye-catching? A lot of times. That is why you cannot think of leaving out this detail and posting a low-resolution or poor-quality photo. Likewise, however, I do not advise you to choose excessively complex photos that would not be appreciated by a small circle on the screen anyway. Choose something minimal but at the same time elegant and easily recognizable, you have to take something that no one else has and that identifies that image with your profile, which is precisely why the colors chosen earlier previously could help in the creation of this logo, making it even more unique and personal.

Don’t spend too much time on it, but don’t underestimate it.

Biography

I see too often HUGE errors at this point…

Our bio is in all likelihood our first opportunity to communicate with a possible new follower, how can we hope they will be attracted to or understand what he is looking at if we do not enhance it or even worse, leave it blank? The first thing I strongly discourage you from doing is writing a biography that is a giant block of text full of emojis; besides being quite unsightly, it is also not very encouraging for a new member to read. Even worse if you decide to leave your bio completely blank or left to chance, you need to write something that represents your profile.

There is no need to write lines and lines of text to explain our values to the public, in our salvation come the so-called slogans, used by almost every major company in the world to make them easily identifiable and to resonate with the public. Apple chose “Think Different.” Nike instead “Just Do It!” and in my profile, I chose “We Will Do, You Will Say.” as you can see, it is not at all necessary to write a will to be able to effectively communicate with others!

Indulge and let your instincts guide you on this point, be original.

Posts/Reels

Whatever type of content you’re going to create, I can’t stand here and tell you how to make it “aesthetic” because depending on your niche it would change completely.

However, I can give you one very important piece of advice that I arrived at only after many many unsuccessful attempts. Choose your covers well! A lot of people undervote this point so much thinking they are dealing with something unimportant forgetting that the cover is the main reason why people click on our post! If we have a cover that is not centered, blurry, or even worse nonexistent, we cannot hope that someone is going to be intent on clicking on it, and remember that if they don’t click, they won’t look at it. Returning to the colors we mentioned earlier, you can choose to create covers made specifically with these colors to make them recognizable and aesthetic, perhaps customizing them from content to content. Experiment a lot and see what seems to work best.

There is no exact science to this!

Conclusion

To conclude this post I want to list some buzzwords to sum it up:

Consistency, Order, Simplicity, Originality.

Always keep these 4 concepts in mind if you are intent on creating an aesthetic Instagram profile, if you are not super creative people you can also help yourself by looking at some of the most popular profiles in your niche and not find the right inspiration and create your profile.

Now it’s up to you to follow my advice!
